Fort Sam Houston Family and MWR offers year round opportunities for MWR patrons* to play a variety of recreational and competitive sports. Whether participating solo or with a group, this is a great way to break out of that normal routine, meet new people and have fun!
Our Sports Office handles applications for All Army Sport Programs as well as letters of intent for interested athletes. To learn more about our different sports programs, or to view scores and brackets click on the links below.

Most of our running events are open to the general public as well as MWR patrons. |
| Intramural Sports |
Throughout the year, the Intramural Sports program offers 10 different sports open to both male and female. Participants who are interested must be at least 18 years old, not participating in an academic athletic association. |
| Varsity Sports |
Individuals must compete for a spot on the team. Roster sizes are limited to All Army Sports regulations. There are 6 different activities and are open to both male and female. |
| Brigade Sports |
Brigade sports are set up for the Army Medical Center and School students from the 32nd Medical Brigade, which consists of 6 different sports. |
| Adaptive Sports |
The Military Adaptive Sports Program is designed for soldiers who are recovering from an injury. This program breaks free from standard physical therapy activities/PT and give soldiers a chance to have some fun! |
| Commander's Cup |
The Commander's Cup helps build partnerships and relationships across the Units attached to Fort Sam Houston. There are 2 different categories that make up the Commander's Cup: Garrison level and Brigade level. |
