School Liaison Services provides the following services:

  • Addressing issues with youth registration in the local school system
  • Coordinating education transition related resources and points of contacts within school and community
  • Collaborating with parents to ensure academic success
  • Educating parents on the local school system policies, procedures, and programs and schedules
  • Supporting home school families
  • Supplying resource materials on primary,
    secondary, and post-secondary education

Fort Sam Houston, Texas School Liaison Officers poses with students of Robert G. Cole Junior/Senior High School after a tour of the campus and a visit with staff and students in August. School age and Officers regularly visits schools throughout Bexar County in order to determine how he can better serve the needs of school-age children of military families. The School Transition Specialist and Regional School Liaison Officer from the U.S. Army installation/ Management Agency/Southwest Region-MWR accompanied Toney on the tour. They are visiting schools throughout the country as they seek to better serve the school age children of military personnel.
