The front desk, at building 592, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and services buildings 592, 1384 and DVQ housing. 

Transient lodging on Fort Sam Houston consists of 523 rooms. The two buildings (592 and 1384) are primarily used to house students attending classes at Fort Sam Houston and — space permitting — other TDY personnel visiting the post.

We offer 24 suites in our Distinguished Visitors Quarters, which are situated throughout Fort Sam Houston's beautiful historic housing areas. The customer service desk, located in building 592, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Transportation is available from the customer service desk by appointment to all lodging facilities.

All of our rooms have telephones, TVs, wired Internet, refrigerators and microwaves. Laundry facilities and vending machines offering snacks, juices and soft drinks are also available.

Complimentary continental breakfast is offered seven days a week at all lodging locations. (Mon. - Fri. from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m.; Sat. and Sun. from 7 - 10 a.m.). Guests are cordially invited to our weekly Wednesday social from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at building 592 and the Powless Guest House where a complimentary casual dinner is served.
